Ministry, servanthood, and doing good had driven Melissa's quest for success, fueled by dopamine addiction and external accolades, until pride and praise were laid bare in her life. Throughout her experiences as a foster parent, exchange student coordinator, and house manager in transitional housing, alongside numerous cross-country moves, Melissa shares her real-time journey towards liberation from the shackles of pride and the dependence on others' approval.

As Melissa's family of six relocated from Charlotte, North Carolina to Seattle, Washington, God utilized this transitional period to unveil the detrimental effects of her pride on those she served.
